Ladan Mohtadi, O.D.

Dr. Mohtadi is a native of northern California. She grew up in the Bay Area and lived in Los Gatos for much of her life. She attended the town's local schools including Alta Vista, Union Middle and Leigh High. Her undergraduate work was at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she received a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychological Biology. While at UCLA, she volunteered at the Jules Stein Research Center with renowned researcher and optometrist, Dr. Barry A. Weissman, O.D., Ph.D.

She continued her education at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA where she received her doctorate of Optometry in 2004. While at SCCO, she was a member of the American Optometric Student Association and held a position on the SCCO Student Association. She was also a member of the honor's fraternity, Beta Sigma Kappa and was appointed to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. In the winter of 2003, she flew to El Salvador with a group of other optometry students and doctors to offer courtesy eye exams and glasses to those in need.

Dr. Mohtadi has been practicing in Los Gatos since July 2004. She enjoys being back in the area and helping the Los Gatos community by giving comprehensive eye exams to adults and children. She also provides contact lens fittings and refractive surgery co-management to her patients. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and is an active member of the Santa Clara County Optometric Society.

In her free time, Dr. Mohtadi enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include hiking, playing the piano and spending time with her dog, "Klaus". Dr. Mohtadi is also an active member of the San Jose Bahai Community and enjoys traveling and participating in service projects.
